1960s Custom Gown
Custom gown from the 1960s by expert seamstress "Nancy". The seams on the bodice are unlike anything I've seen, the level of expertise needed to construct a gown like this is incredible. The bustline has a beautiful hand stitched pattern of rick rack. The skirt and train are composed of a luxurious satin that extends to a cathedral length. The dress includes the original matching gloves.
The dress did brighten after cleaning and is a soft ivory color. We used vintage film to photograph the dress on the model, and the color is not truly depicted.
This dress is in great condition. I have thoroughly cleaned and steamed the gown to restore its beauty, which is an extremely delicate process with a gown like this. There are a few small impressions on the satin and faint marks, please refer to photos. There is what seams to be two pen marks by the hem of the dress. Please note all items are vintage and have minor signs of wear.
