1960s Shining Star
This dress was featured in our fashion show fundraiser and 100% of its profits will be donated to the Emmanuel Home of Protection in Nicaragua. This is a safe home for young girls who have been abused and impregnated usually by family members. The home provides a safe environment for the girls to grow and heal from the traumas they've experienced.
This 1960s beauty features a shiny satin lining with a lace overlay. The bodice has an illusion neckline and the sleeves have been reworked into a cap style. There is a full skirt with a small train that follows. The lining is slightly longer than the overlay. Closes with buttons down the back!
Measurements:
Bust 35 inches
Waist 28 inches
Length 58 inches
In good condition. Large repair done to a tear in the lace skirt overlay near the hem on right front. Sleeves reworked into cap sleeves to preserve lace structure. Slight staining along satin skirt hem. Please note all items are vintage and might have minor signs of wear due to its age.
The dress is modeled with a crinoline to achieve the authentic 1960s look. Please note these undergarments are not included with the dress, but I’m more than happy to recommend shops where you can find similar pieces to recreate this silhouette.
