1950s Winter Dream
A truly exceptional bridal set from the late 1950s. This extremely rare bridal look must have been worn by a truly fabulous bride! It features an intricately beaded bodice and sleeves with fur cuffs at the wrists. An asymmetrical waistline leads to a full skirt and a small train. The back of the dress has a keyhole opening with faux buttons covering the zipper. The look is completed with the original fur shawl and hat.
I had to remove the bow on the waistline during the cleaning process, and have it saved to reattach if the bride desires. Just message me after purchasing the dress and I can stitch it back on (no additional cost).
For the rarity of this piece, the dress is in good condition overall. The fur on all 3 pieces is in amazing condition, as is the intricately beaded bodice. The taffeta skirt and train has spots throughout, Please refer to the photos. There is also a small tear in the train that will be repaired (I'm waiting on my mentor to help me with this repair). There are some minor marks on both of the bows. This dress was worn in the past and holds history, As with all vintage items, especially those over 70 years old, minor signs of wear are to be expected.
The dress will need to be professionally pressed to remove the wrinkles after mailing.
