1950s Edythe Vincent

$2,895.00

This regal gown was designed by Edythe Vincent, wife of the more commonly known designer, Alfred Angelo. Edythe and Alfred started their business together in 1933 with Edythe being the main designer for the wedding dresses.

This 1950s gown in all its glory has been restored to meet its next bride. The lace panel on the back of the skirt and the detailed pleating on the front make this piece one of a kind. But what really stands out about this gown is the Watteau tulle train that is searchable at the shoulder. This was added later in restoration and is not original to the 1950s. This piece of the dress is pinched in the center back with a rosette, which gives it such a beautiful draped structure.

While keeping in mind that the lace on the back panel is very delicate, this dress is in wonderful condition overall.
