1950s Dainty Darling
This dress was featured in our fashion show fundraiser and 100% of its profits will be donated to the Emmanuel Home of Protection in Nicaragua. This is a safe home for young girls who have been abused and impregnated usually by family members. The home provides a safe environment for the girls to grow and heal from the traumas they've experienced.
1950s beauty with a fitted satin bodice that buttons in the back and an illusion lace necklice that frame the face. The skirt has delicate lace over tulle and tiers in the back.
Measurements:
Bust 34 inches
Waist 24 inches
Length 57 inches
Original lace on bodice was removed to preserve the integrity of the gown. A few small signs of wear in the lace throughout the dress. One tear in lace on the bodice near the the back of the the collar. Sleeves removed to preserve strength of lace in bodice/neckline. Please note all items are vintage and might have minor signs of wear due to its age.
The dress is modeled with a crinoline to achieve the authentic 1960s look. Please note these undergarments are not included with the dress, but I’m more than happy to recommend shops where you can find similar pieces to recreate this silhouette.
