1950s Blossoming Beauty
This dress was featured in our fashion show fundraiser and 100% of its profits will be donated to the Emmanuel Home of Protection in Nicaragua. This is a safe home for young girls who have been abused and impregnated usually by family members. The home provides a safe environment for the girls to grow and heal from the traumas they've experienced.
Incredible 1950s Will Steinman ballgown composed of layers and layers of tulle. There is a strapless bodice that is nipped at the waist, then flows into a full skirt that moves effortlessly. The gown was originally very small, so we did a corset back expansion to accommodate more sizes. There is intricate sequin and beaded appliqué on the bodice and it cascades down the skirt. A custom shoulder, drape flows from the neckline and adds the perfect touch of drama.

In great condition. Top layer of skirt has been repaired near flower appliqués, each layer of the hem has been trimmed to same length, and sash/drape was added. Please note all items are vintage and might have minor signs of wear due to its age.
The dress is modeled with a crinoline to achieve the authentic 1950s look. Please note these undergarments are not included with the dress, but I’m more than happy to recommend shops where you can find similar pieces to recreate this silhouette.
